A Message of Hope Cancer Fund is a 501c3 non-profit organization. This charity was founded to assist southern Maryland residents that suffer a financial burden caused by cancer diagnosis or cancer treatment. Our organization raises money to give back to local southern Maryland Residents.

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is a 501 (c)(3) non profit organization.  AFSP's mission is to "Save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide".  Our Maryland Chapter offers educational programs, advocates for public policy and provides support for those affected by suicide.

Vocational Rehabilitation-Vocational training, family and individual support services and recreation opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

Established in 1990, first 26 homes repaired in April 1991.  Christmas in April in St. Mary's County, Inc. in partnership with the community rehabilitates the homes of low income homeowners particularly the elderly and disabled so that they may live in warmth, safety and independence. We also provide help through work on community projects.

As Southern Maryland’s only community orchestra, the Chamber Orchestra of Southern Maryland in Concert (COSMIC Symphony) affords residents the opportunity to enjoy high quality orchestral music without leaving Southern Maryland. Performances are scheduled in St. Mary’s and Calvert Counties. COSMIC Symphony also provides community of local professional, semi-professional, talented amateur musicians and youth musicians a venue where they can perform.

The mission of Erins Star is to raise awareness for Autism and childhood drowning prevention in Southern Maryland.  Our goals include providing free educational resources, increasing the number of self-rescue swim instructors and providing wearable GPS tracking devices to those in need of assistance.

The Friends of the St. Clement's Island & Piney Point Museums raise funds in order to support historical interpretation, education programs, and special needs of the sites managed by the Museum Division of St. Mary's County Department of Recreation and Parks. The Friends organization is a 501(c) 3 organization sponsoring events, assisting with acquisitions, and supporting efforts to broaden the understanding of our culture and community's heritage.

A nonprofit executive program that nurtures interest, regional knowledge and leadership capacities of Southern Maryland leaders.

The mission of the Literacy Council of St. Mary’s County is to provide one-on-one tutoring to English speaking and non-English speaking adults, 18 years of age or older, who request help with basic reading and writing skills, basic math skills, and with other appropriate self-identified educational goals.

Patuxent Habitat for Humanity builds houses with volunteer labor and donations of money and materials from local businesses.  Houses are sold at no profit to selected families with a no-interest loan.

Seedco is an official partner of Maryland Health Benefit Exchange and provides free, confidential in-person assistance to enroll in qualified health plans, dental plans, Medicaid or the Children's Health Insurance Program through the Maryland Health Connection.

Featuring the work of over 35 local artists with a diverse range of products including paintings, phoography prints, pottery, woodwork, books and zines, multi-media pieces, and much more!

A volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to the presentation of the County Fair, a celebration of our rural heritage; and to the year-round development and management of the Fairground facilities.

St. Mary’s Adult Medical Day Care provides respite for caregivers and provides participants a place for socialization, rehabilitation, meaningful activities and a sense of community. We operate two programs designed to meet the needs of our participants. Adult Medical Day Care is for adults 17 and older who require additional assistance with medications or injection administration, assistance with eating or toileting, treat wounds or monitor other medical needs. Senior Center Plus is a program for those 50 years and older who need minimal assistance with activities of daily living and possibly need supervision during the day.

The purpose of the St. Mary's County Commission for People with Disabilities, which is entirely made up of volunteers, is to provide the Board of County Commissioners for St. Mary's County with advice and assistance in the content and administration of compliance measures with regard to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and to increase acceptance, awareness and full participation in all aspects of county life as well as the quality of life for persons with disabilities including employment.

Our mission is to create and encourage infrastructural, economical, and community development initiatives, to promote public art installations, and to beautify, revitalize, and improve the wellbeing of all businesses and individuals in St. Mary’s County.

The YMCA is a non-profit community organization whose purpose is to strengthen the foundations of our communities in Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility
