The mission of St. Mary's Professionals (SMYP) is to provide opportunities to cultivate and empower emerging business leaders and career-minded individuals in Southern Maryland through social, professional, and outreach activities.

Spalding Consulting, Inc. is a small business providing information technology, cyber security, program management, and financial management  solutions to NAVAIR, NAWCAD, NAVSUP, SPAWAR, and OSD. Our IT services include software/mobile development, SharePoint customization, database and system administration, business intelligence, and data analytics. Our cyber security services include Risk Management Framework support, vulnerability mitigation, penetration testing, and cyber monitoring. Our program management services include contract management, financial analysis, risk management, quality management, and continous process improvement. Our financial management services include cost accounting, Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness, Navy ERP data analysis, contract reconciliation, and fixed asset/material management accounting.

Spring Valley is located just minutes from Patuxent Naval Air Warfare Center in Lexington Park and is convenient to shopping and schools.

Through the efforts of the St. Clement's Hundred, a local community organization created and operated by all volunteers for the preservation of St. Clement's Island, a replica of the Blackistone Lighthouse was constructed and completed in June of 2008. The St. Clement's Hundred provides all financial support for the maintenance and operation of the lighthouse.  The replica is located on the southern end of the island and stands on higher ground overlooking the ruins of the original lighthouse.  This magnificent two-story structure was built using the original blueprints of the 1851 lighthouse and offers a modern generation insight to the historical and cultural heritage of the island, the Potomac River, and the people who lived, worked, and visited here in the 19th and 20th centuries.

A referral-based networking group that seeks to grow the business of our members through qualified leads and relationships.  We only allow one person from each industry or professional classification to be a member of the organization at a time.

St. Mary's County Department of Aging & Human Services provides a wide variety of programs and services to the county's senior residents. Activities range from social and recreational programs to the direct support of essential services, such as nutrition, health, and in-home services.
The Division of Human Services helps support an array of programs and services to adults, families and children ; provides supportive services to children; and offers social, educational, and recreational activities to children and families.

A department of County Government that works to increase opportunities for business and job growth in St, Mary's County.

A volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to the presentation of the County Fair, a celebration of our rural heritage; and to the year-round development and management of the Fairground facilities.

The St. Mary's County Public School System is a quality prekindergarten through 12th grade system located in beautiful Southern Maryland.  The system has 19 elementary schools (including a public charter school), 4 middle schools, 3  high schools, and a career/technology center.  The system also provides a comprehensive special education program for students ages birth through 21, middle and  high school summer school programs, and Educational Pathways--STEM Academies at all three levels that provide a rigorous curriculum focused on mathematics and science with an infusion of technology and engineering; an Academy of Finance; Academy of Visual and Performing Arts; Global and International Studies Academy; and alternative pathways to high school success (Fairlead Academy i and II which are 9th-12th grade programs geared toward preventing high school dropouts).
